Carmen and Nick have such a special place in my heart, not only because I got to spend several days seeing these two in their element with all their loved ones, but also because they trusted me to capture their big day – in a whole other country! Carmen and Nick’s joy and their love for one another could be felt by everyone for the four days we all spent together.

As if setting the tone for the trip, Carmen met me in the lobby of the Royalton Riviera Cancun resort with the biggest hug, already exclaiming “We have had the BEST day!” The couple’s wedding in paradise (side note – the weather these four days was incredible!) kicked off with a welcome party for their friends and family. It was so touching to see the love expressed amongst the guests as they chatted, snapped photos, and celebrated their favorite couple.

I’ll let these next photos of the wedding day speak for themselves. I can say that their vows left me raw as they said to one another “If you must cheat, cheat death, because I cannot live a day without you.”

Every detail of the rooftop reception was perfect, and Carmen and Nick had probably the best dance party I have ever seen – even the flower girl and ring bearer danced the night away!

I cannot express how beyond thankful I am to have the opportunity to share the love stories of my brides and grooms. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. !!
