Some of my favorite photographs EVER have come from this gallery at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, where luxurious, garden party aesthetics met classic, old money charm. The flat lay of details, shown above, was so simple and classy as each item enhanced the one next to it without being overwhelming. One super unique trend I’ve seen rise in popularity over the past year is a wedding magazine (you can use it solely for pictures, or mass produce it to give to friends and family as a fun keepsake)!
When this couple decided to get ready together at one of the rooms in Callanwolde, I knew there were going to be such sweet moments to witness and capture. The groom helped his bride into her dress, put on her shoes, and dedicated his time to serving her before the ceremony – he didn’t want to miss a second of their day together! The bride’s dress was a complete show-stopper of an A-line beauty, off the shoulder, sparkly, lacy gown. Topped with the most flowy, beautiful veil, it was so much fun to photograph the movement of the bride’s outfit as the couple dashed and played through the Callanwolde gardens.
I cannot stop talking about how elegant every aspect of this elopement was. The ceremony was held at the front of Callanwolde, with all of the beautiful woodwork shining with old world craftsmanship. The couple chose a mixture of fun, pastel springtime colors which looked beautiful as their grounded flower arch. Their inclusion of a harpist to underscore the ceremony was a perfect addition to the affluent vibe.
The stunning springtime flower arrangements were a staple throughout the design – shoutout to the florist, Samiya, who did a phenomenal job elevating the tablescapes with practically a garden’s worth of flowers! I am in LOVE with the way the glasses and plates for the table setup totally have a generational, passed-down chinaware aesthetic. I feel like you can tell this elopement was carefully crafted to tie every element into stunning visuals. To end such a dreamy day, the couple had a vintage Rolls-Royce getaway car whisk them away. Truly one of the most phenomenal days as a photographer!
