Grant Hill Farms – Rachel and Samuel’s Wedding

Rachel and Sam’s wedding at Grant Hill Farms was such a joyful, fabulous day that I can hardly express how much love I have for these two, and how FUN their wedding was to shoot. Usually seasonal weddings have a dark, jewel-toned color scheme or one matching the cozy turning of leaves, but Rachel’s vision for this day was a total 180 from your typical fall wedding – this wedding was totally a “Spring Inspired Fall.” Rachel was VERY excited about the bright colors, fresh greenery, and joyful touches throughout.

Grant Hill Farms is such a beautiful venue, with their main attraction being the large, renovated barn. Rachel and Sam wanted to have as many pictures as possible done before the ceremony so they would be able to spend all their time with family and friends at the reception.

The Christian ceremony was so special as Rachel and Sam opted to include the tradition of feet washing. After realizing they didn’t have any towels to dry their feet, the couple had to return them cold and wet back into their socks and shoes – and giggled about it all evening. I love seeing my couples be playful with each other, and it made for a memory that is uniquely theirs.

I love being able to give couples a large wedding album, and I was able to add even more photos for this couple with their addition of a few extra packages. First, I was able to capture film alongside the traditional digital images, and I even had an assistant take some of the pictures early in the morning: Rachel’s flower girl! I seriously love working with film – the texture of the pictures captures something totally different from the crisp, digital images:

The second package the couple included was a photo booth, which was SO much fun at the reception. I swear only the pictures can really capture the feeling of everyone letting loose and enjoying the party atmosphere:

With all the dancing you could imagine and an exit filled with sparklers, Rachel and Sam had such an incredible day. I am so excited for the future of their marriage and so thankful I was able to serve them with lasting memories.
