Georgia has so many diverse places across the state, and it’s no surprise that wedding venues are the same! As a North Georgia Wedding Photographer for several years, I’ve compiled this list of wedding venues – from rustic to industrial to black tie – that blow me away, and will (hopefully!) make your search for the perfect wedding location so much easier. You’ll never guess what the last one on the list is…!
Location: Clarkesville, Georgia
Copey Creek is a such special venue to me because this is where my husband and I chose to get married. Besides the sentimental value, this family run venue has a dazzling view of the mountains for your outdoor ceremony, and can accommodate over 200 guests – which are all handicap accessible, by the way. They only book one wedding per weekend to ensure your time with them is unhurried and focused solely on your needs.
Location: Commerce, Georgia
Grant Hill Farms won several awards so far in 2024, and it’s no surprise why. They have a large staff – including the owners – to be all hands on deck for your wedding, an 88 acre venue, and a stock of décor items for your use. The interior of the renovated barn is framed with warm wooden panels, and whitewashed walls make the space feel light but intimate.
Location: Waleska, Georgia
Lewallen Farms is one of the most remarkable mountain views on this list for brides who want to immerse themselves in North Georgia’s natural beauty. In addition to the scenic views, they have lodging options on site to keep your family and friends close. The warmth and open-air feel of the reception space is amazing for backlit photos!
Location: Marble Hill, Georgia
A self-proclaimed photographer’s dream, The Willows Farm is capable of hosting weddings of all sizes, from intimate to over 200 guests! This venue blends rustic, natural, and antique storybook charm in each of the wedding and reception locations across the property, including those dreamy willow trees they’re known for!
Location: Appling, Georgia
If you’re looking for a gorgeous rustic setting with the sweetest family history, Pine Knoll Farms is perfect for you. One of the coolest features of this venue is the “Love Locks” wall, where couples can attach a lock to commemorate their love and wedding day. They even let you ring the bell on top of the church once you’ve said “I do!”
Location: Trenton, Georgia
The Venue Venue at the Bluffs is a large venue burrowed in the north-western Georgia mountains. They offer five different locations for your ceremony and reception, all with a magical quality. While I’m totally not biased, The Enchanted Garden is pulled straight out of a fairytale and looks gorgeous no matter the season.
Location: Young Harris, Georgia
Brasstown Valley Resort and Spa is another gem in the Blue Ridge Mountains. They have several indoor and outdoor locations for your ceremony and reception, whether you’re looking for a rustic or black tie feel, and tons of customization options so everything is exactly to your specifications. And after you’ve finally tied the knot, you can indulge in their spa services!
Location: Hiram, Georgia
The Cotton Gin at Mill Creek is a beautiful blend of old-world beauty and modern charm, featuring several indoor and outdoor locations to bring the vision of your wedding day to life. This venue has all inclusive wedding packages that “will make your dream wedding a reality” and provide “the ultimate stress-free event planning process.” As a photographer, I love how each space here is unique! From classic to rustic to elegant, you and your spouse can blend different photographic moods without ever leaving the venue!
Location: Dallas, Georgia
Bullock Springs Manor delivers on the claim of a “premier southern wedding venue.” They have several indoor and outdoor ceremony locations that are the perfect blend of refined and rustic. Leading to one of the ceremony spots is a beautiful wooden bridge, and I think this is one of the most interesting wedding aisle’s I’ve had the pleasure of photographing!
Location: Toccoa, Georgia
Toccoa Falls is a spectacular wedding venue that more and more brides are choosing every year. Because Toccoa Falls is connected to the Toccoa Falls Christian college, the falls itself is a ceremony only location, but you will fall head over heels with the beautiful rock face and continuous waterfall as a backdrop to your special day.
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Cator Woolford Gardens is a sprawling 39 acres of forest – you will hardly believe Atlanta is just around the corner! These Italian-style gardens create the perfect old world charm for a meaningful, secluded gathering. Worried about the rain? They have it covered with a beautiful indoor atrium.
Location: Greensboro, Georgia
The Wildflower 301 is aptly named – few places can you find English style flower gardens like these. Each location – whether you are getting ready or seeing your soon-to-be spouse for the first time – is meticulously thought out to provide value and ease to every couple. The gardens are incredibly lush, but there’s another special garden you’ll find at Wildflower 301 – one of buried bourbon!
Location: Dahlonega, Georgia
There is so much to say about Montaluce Vineyard and Winery, but I can’t BELIEVE this venue exists in Georgia because it really looks like you’ve flown to Italy and are getting married at a Tuscan winery. As they boast, it really is “more than just a vineyard.” They offer several kinds of packages, from large-scale weddings to elopements, and even have recommended lodging on and close to the property so your family and friends won’t have to travel far. I love the dreamy, romantic atmosphere Montaluce creates so my clients can remember their big day with all the feels.
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
The Piedmont Room and Piedmont Garden Tent is a total WOW of an upscale wedding venue in Atlanta. They have indoor and outdoor areas to hold your wedding and reception, each with a luxurious, modern touch. I could spend hours talking about their granite and ivy covered walls, but the pictures really speak for themselves.
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Callenwolde Fine Arts Center has all the old-world charm right in the heart of Georgia. This mansion – it really is, at 27,000 sq. ft. – has rooms galore to host your wedding, and a never ending estate of lawns, gardens, and terraces. There is no shortage of unique architecture, you may forget you’re in Atlanta all together. While not pictured here, the grand staircase within the estate is a excellent location for your first look!
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
A historic house museum, The Swan House is a brilliant Atlanta venue for the refined, garden party wedding of your dreams. The home features two stone staircases flanking an impressive water feature and a massive stone walled courtyard. There is absolutely a timeless luxury present here!
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Summerour Studio takes such care to blend a rich, architectural design with careful use of industrial elements. Taking a walk through the walled, greenery covered courtyard and dining under the arched ceilings of the studio, you’ll notice each aspect is thoughtfully inspired – including a hand-crafted wooden staircase!
Location: Lindale, Georgia
The Lindale Mill is a historic textile mill capturing a modern industrial vibe. The owners care deeply for “the history and character” of the venue, just as they’ll take care and consideration for the history you create on your wedding day! There is no shortage of interesting texture and charm, as well as a long list of décor for customization. One of the most unique features here are those large, ivy covered smoke stacks that are original to the mill.
Location: Acworth, Georgia
The Cowan Historic Mill is an unexpected gem in North Georgia, where history and elegance collide. The industrial elements and exposed brick are perfect for a wedding that is less rustic than other venues, but still has a timeless quality to look back on. Who can argue with those striking Georgia sunsets?
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Upstairs Atlanta is another industrial venue, but it can absolutely be styled any way you’re dreaming of with all of the pristine white brickwork. A pop of greenery behind the venue really brings Upstairs Atlanta full circle, if you want those nature inspired photos while still within the vibrant city. The skylights and vaulted ceilings upstairs make this venue feel so large, and it is crazy how versatile this venue can be.
Location: Athens, Georgia
Did you know that you can get married at a brewery? Creature Comforts does! Originally started in Athens, Georgia, Creature Comforts states their purpose is “rooted in human connection,” and what better way to connect with friends and family than saying “I do!” at your favorite happy hour spot.
